All eyes on Cyprus as new Netflix romantic comedy anticipated to spark demand for Cypriot weddings and holidays, says Planet Holidays & Planet Weddings
Planet Holidays, one of the UK’s leading tour operators, and sister company Planet Weddings, predicts a surge in demand for Cypriot weddings, honeymoons and holidays in 2024/25 following the premiere of a new romantic comedy set on the island on Netflix on 19 July 2024.
“Find Me Falling” stars Harry Connick Jr as ageing rock star John Allman who decides to take a break from his career to reclaim his spark. With the stunning backdrop of her native island and its larger-than-life characters, writer/director Stelana Kliris weaves a beautiful story about the washed-out rock star trying to get his mojo back.
The film is billed by Kliris as a “love letter to Cyprus” and is a love story about many kinds of love: romantic, family, lifelong dreams, all set against the stunning backdrop of Cyprus.

Research this year suggested more than half of British couples – 55% – would prefer to get married abroad than in the UK, and that over the past five years there has been a 27% rise in couples getting married abroad. Price is often the main reason with the average cost of a wedding overseas £6,500, compared to £21,000 for a UK wedding.
