Croatia
Weddings in and around Dubrovnik

With a splendid coastline that stretches over 1700km, Croatia is an excellent holiday destination. Whilst those who can afford it have been spending their cash acquiring all the privacy they seek buying one of the many islands that bathe in the Adriatic Sea off the coast of Croatia,
others are quite content to spend a week or two getting to appreciate the overall appeal
of this beautiful area of Central Europe.

Reached in just about 3 hours from the UK, it is also not surprising that Croatia has become an attractive nuptial destination. Our selection of special venues for your big day are located
in and around Dubrovnik and we will be able to recommend to you a variety of options
where you (and your relatives and friends) can stay; and needless to say that the choice
is plentiful enough to avoid your guests staying at the same hotel as you
(unless you wish to, of course).

Villa Banac • Cavtat
• Civil Wedding

Perched on a peninsula that overlooks two splendid bays, Cavtat’s natural beauty originally attracted wealthy locals and artists before it developed into a popular holiday resort where good tourist facilities blend with a picturesque waterfront, narrow cobbled streets, a palm tree-lined promenade and imposing mansions. Cavtat is only a 20 minute drive south of Dubrovnik and the nicest way to reach this small and very pretty town is to take a 40 minute boat ride across the bay. Weddings in Cavtat can be organised on the private terrace of Villa Banac, a city hall where gorgeous sea views provide a perfect backdrop for your ceremony and photographs (a charge, per person, will apply for the set up of the chairs). Once you have exchanged your vows, the venue for your reception could be arranged in Cavtat or we could organise for everyone to get back to Dubrovnik for a meal at one of the town’s restaurants (we will supply details at the time of booking).

Inclusions: Planning & administration of your wedding • Set-up of terrace for civil ceremony (supplement applies for chair covers) • Civil ceremony, including registrar's 'call-out' fee • Assistance of Wedding Co-ordinator • Marriage certificate.

Lokrum Island
• Civil Wedding

Visible from Dubrovnik’s Old Town and easily reached by boat (a 10 minute crossing), Lokrum Island is a protected nature reserve that consists of beautiful pine forests, ancient oaks, lush vegetation, a salt lake, rocky coves and families of peacocks. It is also the site of the ruins of a Benedictine Monastery and its botanical garden. This little islet is an enchanting venue for a wedding ceremony and, needless to say, locations for memorable photographs are plentiful too. Before you return to Dubrovnik, you and your guests could even make use of the local restaurant and a bar that make up the only facilities available on Lokrum Island. And of course, we could follow this up by organising your wedding reception at one of Dubrovnik’s many special restaurants. (A compulsory charge will apply for the boat rental, fire brigade fee, tractor rental for ceremony set up and entrance fee to enter the island).

Inclusions: Planning & administration of your wedding • Set-up for civil ceremony (supplement applies for chair covers) • Civil ceremony, including registrar's 'call-out' fee • Assistance of Wedding Co-ordinator • Marriage certificate.

Sponza Palace • Dubrovnik
• Civil Wedding

This exquisite building sits in Luza Square, right in the heart of the Old Town and displays a wonderful mix of Gothic and Renaissance styles. Sponza Palace was originally the ‘Customs House’ but nowadays, this is where the State’s archives (a magnificent collection of manuscripts, books and documents that date back almost a thousand years), are kept. The 15th century Sponza Palace is a very popular wedding venue that attracts many couples keen to celebrate their very special day in special surroundings. Here, the wedding package includes the use of the open roof central area of the palace for 2 hours, a perfect amount of time to set everything up (and take everything down), enjoy a civil ceremony and even have the opportunity to toast the newly-weds at a drinks party for a maximum of 130 persons. There is an excellent choice of venues in Dubrovnik for your reception.

Inclusions: Planning & administration of your wedding • Set-up of terrace for civil ceremony (supplement applies for the hire of the chairs and chair covers) • Civil ceremony, including registrar's 'call-out' fee • Assistance of Wedding Co-ordinator • Marriage certificate.
